This recital marks the Centenary of the death of Stanford, whose birthday was 30th September. Stanford had strong links with Windsor which will be explored both in this programme and on Tuesday 1st October by The Choir of St George’s Chapel. Richard will perform Stanford’s Sonata Eroica which was composed in 1917, very probably in Windsor.
